Montauk to Block Island paddle! Wow seems huge! Definitely my first thought when someone mentioned it to me - who would do that? Well maybe some of us are a little whacky in that we like these kind of challenges but what struck me more is the list of organizations that will benefit from the efforts of both paddlers and organizers of this event. Selected first based on both proven strong leadership and track record, there are multiple charities here that focus on both the mental and physical health of families.  Organizations that work with children, those less fortunate and/or those going through a particularly challenging time in their lives (full list on the website  www.P4h.org/about). Paddling a few miles pales in comparison to the emotional, mental and financial challenges some families are facing after "waking up" and finding themselves in an extremely toxic situation with seemningly no way out.  I feel blessed to play a small part in helping these parents better themselves and the lives of their children.  The 'Paddlers for Humanity' organization is all in... 100% committed to giving these families a chance at making a loving home a reality.  They are fully committed to giving children and families a path through the challenges they face-  be it mental health struggles using positive behavioral intervention, or autistic children with a chance to grow through a surf camp, or a mom leaving a home with absolutely nothing other than her kids and a dream for a better life.  Paddle a few miles? Nothing compared to what these families face! I GET to do this...I GET to help!? Fantastic!  Help me to reach my goal so they can reach theirs! Thank you for every dollar you contribute!
