Dear Friends and Family,
I am humbly taking on the Block Challenge, an 18 mile open ocean paddle that starts at Montauk Point and ends (approx 6 hours later, I'm told) on Block Island (my home state, can I get a Woop Woop!). This will not be easy and I'm sure to be quesy but am looking forward to it, especially because it is a fundraising event for an incredible local charity called Paddlers for Humanity. Paddlers for Humanity is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in East Hampton, NY dedicated to bettering childrens' lives, with an emphasis on supporting innovative and comprehensive mental health programs for kids and youth, including greater early intervention outreach, resiliency, anti-bullying, and changing behavior through a focus on the positive.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal of $1500 so that I can participate in this awesome event while helping this very committed and important organization. I am getting a late start on this, (I only decided that I could do it this week!) so will need to harness all this support rather quickly. Any and all donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.
