I am excited to announce that I will be paddling in Paddlers for Humanity’s BLOCK CHALLENGE 2015 on August 29th. Your support would mean so much to me.
Paddlers for Humanity is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in East Hampton, NY dedicated to bettering children’s lives, with an emphasis on supporting innovative and comprehensive mental health programs for kids and youth, including greater early intervention outreach, resiliency, anti-bullying, and changing behavior through a focus on the positive.
The BLOCK CHALLENGE is an 18-mile open ocean paddle from Montauk Point to Block Island. I will be using a Stand Up Paddle Board and it will be my second time paddling this distance. The event supports various children’s charities that Paddlers for Humanity raises money for on a volunteer basis. This year will benefit children's mental health and wellness with donations going to buildOn, Hoops for Hope, i-tri Girls among others.
I need to raise a minimum of $1500 to meet my goal to participate in the event. All of the money will go to the Paddlers for Humanity charities.
